Support Action Center (SAPD)
Support Action was founded in 2020 as a non-governmental, non-profit, politically independent centre in Stockholm, Sweden. The centre aims to strengthen the capacity of democratic actors, organisations, and institutions in Sweden and elsewhere in the world through training, strategic support, advocacy, and awareness raising. It strives to strengthen the pillars of global positive peace.
Support Action upholds the values of active non-violence, non-discrimination, solidarity, and democracy. The centre develops its engagement in a constructive dialogue with likeminded people who aim to shift roots of societal conflict namely poverty, inequality, unmet basic needs, social injustices and grievances, marginalisation and segregation, unfair distribution of natural resources, human rights abuses, lack of freedoms, authoritarianism and corruption. What we want to bring into the field is broad experiences of working in conflict-torn milieus, employing bottom-up methods that are wholly permeated by interactive analysis and understanding as well as joint actions and solutions.

We are committed to the ideal of positive peace, a world in which democratic political and civil society actors, organisations and institutions are keen on contributing to economic and social justice and progress.
Mission
Support Action aims to contribute to improving the efforts of democratic actors in civil society, local authorities, schools and activists for positive peace and progressive development through improving the quality and impact of organisational methods, planning strategies and action approaches.
Working Method
The work of SAPD is permeated by its own concept of active dialogical facilitation that allows for the collective production of knowledge and individual skills acquisition. Our concept departs from the concrete challenges that our partners face, finding the best approaches for dressing them to reach their own strategic goals.
We are everywhere
The main office is in Stockholm, Sweden. We have also an office in Valencia, Spain. But the network of organisations we work with is present in many countries such as Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, Belarus and the Baltic countries.
