Mediator’s handbook

This handbook is a practical manual designed for beginner and intermediate level mediators, as well as for representatives of government authorities and local public institutions who practice and promote peaceful methods of conflict and dispute resolution. It was produced as part of the project entitled “Conflict Mitigation and Peacebuilding in Kyrgyzstan”.
It describes the importance of mediation as an alternative method of resolving conflicts or disputes and provides the basic foundations of the underlying theory of conflict resolution. It is accompanied by a collection of case studies of mediation practices.
